Do you like using matchsticks to light candles, incense, cigars, fireplaces, and such?
Do you ever make crafts or gifts by putting matchsticks in jars, only to realize that you don’t have a durable or attractive striking surface?
Do you own an antique match holder or pretty container of fireplace matchsticks and just need to replace the striking surface every once and a while?
Do you go camping, fishing, or hunting, and need an emergency source for making campfires?
Are you a magician or theatre professional who needs an adhesive match striking surface for your performances?
We’d like to present our solution – match strike paper with adhesive backing. We import sheets of them, roughly US letter size, from matchstick manufacturers in China, and it is the exact same material used on matchbooks and matchboxes everywhere. It works with standard safety matches as well as strike-anywhere matches.
You can buy them 2 different ways:
1. By the Sheet: Cut them yourself with scissors, paper punches, x-acto knives, and other typical cutting tools.
2. By the Shape: We use a Silhouette Cameo 3 to die-cut the sheets into rectangles, squares, circles, and ovals, ranging from ½” to 5”, as well as unique shapes such as hearts and moons, and even silhouettes of American states.
Sheets range from $3.50 to $7.50 depending on appearance, and shapes range from 40 cents to $1.50, depending on size. Volume discounts start at 20 or more items, sold in groups of 10.
Our full range of products is available on Etsy, and we are also on Amazon and Ebay. Shop wherever you prefer, but Etsy provides the most flexibility and efficiency in terms of custom orders and communication. It’s also where I debut new items first, and where you can buy most striker shapes individually; on Ebay and Amazon, they are only sold in groups of 10.
If you strongly prefer to use matchsticks to light your favorite things, we have what you need. Stop on by!
Our glass match holders are a modern twist on a very old design. Match holders have been around in some fashion or another since the birth of the matchstick over 100 years ago. Think of our product line as glass matchboxes. We find attractive vases and jars, drop in the most durable and attractive matchsticks we can find, and then adhere an attractive and unique striking surface on the side -- from hearts and moons to letters of the alphabet to outlines of American states.
Our vases come in 3 sizes:
1. Regular Jars hold your standard 2" safety matches
2. Large Jars hold 4" long matches ideal for lighting candles
3. Extra Tall Vases contain 10" extra long matchsticks for lighting fireplaces and grills
Each match holder is a gift-ready set, containing matchsticks, a striker on the side of the container, and 4 extra replacement strikers.
